Keywords
In order for Google to understand what is the website about, you need to add keywords throughout every part of the website including the titles, image names, URLs, content and tags. Content

After writing all the content, you need to start creating backlink from your own website. It's an easy way to increase the ranking of individual pages. Make sure that the words that are point to your internal pages are relevant to the topic. Too many links might have negative effect again. Visitor can get confused and get lost. Link building process should be natural and simple.

Search Friendly URLs
In order to have more search engine friendly pages, you would create URLs that include your main keywords in it. For example if the website is for a dentist, instead of making a web page www.yourdentistwebsite.com/85729/ws3.html create a page like www.yourdentistwebsite.com/services/dental-implants.html. This will help the serach engines read and categories your page better.

Building Sitemaps
Search Engine spiders visit every website from time to time and re-index every single page of that website. Having a sitemap make it a lot easier for the spiders to index all the pages, including the new pages that have been added after the last visit.

Image SEO
Search Engines can only read the text written on the web pages, they can't read the text on the images. For search engine optimization purposes every single image of the page should have an “ALT” attribute, which is the description of the image. “ALT” should include keyword-rich phrases. The text that surrounds the image should also be relevant to the picture and include necessary keywords.

Avoid Flash and Frames
Flash might give a pretty and dynamic look to your website but when it comes to SEO, it's a complete waste, because they can't be read by the search engines. Frames are ignored by the search engines as well. If it's a must to have a flash on the main page of the website, you should consider putting your navigation and the text underneath Flash.
